Mold fungi and decay fungi can be serious problems for any structure that has been damaged by water.  Decay fungi can literally destroy the materials on which they grow.  In addition to property damage, mold can also cause environmental and health problems.  An active ingredient in Bora-Care with Mold-Care is a specific industrial disinfectant, the same disinfectant used to sanitize restaurants and hospitals.  This disinfectant has been formulated by Nisus to be used with Bora-Care with Mold-Care for even greater performance against other wood-destroying organisms, including termites (subterranean, Formosan, drywood), carpenter ants and wood-boring beetles.

Soda Blasting

 

Soda Blasting is a service that Pied Piper Pest Control, Inc., offers that cleans the wood studs — that have been so adversely affected with mold caused by the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina — and brings them back to a mold-free and healthy state. 

The soda blasting actually blasts the mold off the wood studs using baking soda, which is likened to sanding the studs down, and leaves the wood studs looking practically new again.

 

HEPA Vacuum

 

Pied Piper Pest Control, Inc., also uses a HEPA vacuum in the cleaning process so that no mold spores are left floating or laying around.  The HEPA vac safely and effectively vacuums up all the mold spores so that they are not left laying around to cause further problems.

 

DSV

 

DSV is a product that Pied Piper Pest Control, Inc., using oftentimes after the main removal of mold from the area.  Many times when flooding occurs, contaminated water is the result. Bacteria, viruses, mildew and fungi can create serious health issues. Nisus DSV is a concentrated disinfectant, cleaner, mildewstat, fungicide and sanitizer. When used according to label directions, Nisus DSV kills a broad spectrum of harmful germs, viruses, bacteria, and fungi, including Influenza A, HIV, Herpes, Avian Influenza, and Hepatitis B & C and Hantavirus. One gallon of concentrate makes up to 64 gallons of solution. It's the perfect product to disinfect areas so that reconstruction can begin.
